CALGARY – On Sunday, Sun Devil Men’s Tennis’ Murphy Cassone earned his first career ATP Challenger title after defeating Govind Nanda in the championship match, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the ATP Calgary Challenger. The senior currently holds a career-best 363 ATP ranking.
Cassone downed Ryan Seggerman (#390 ATP), Patrick Kypson (#173 ATP), Alexis Galarneau (#240 ATP), Aziz Dougaz (#192 ATP) and Govind Nanda (#480 ATP) en route to his maiden ATP Title. Full match scores can be found below.
In 2023-24 as a junior, Cassone earned All-American status in both doubles and singles after advancing to the quarterfinals in each event at the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships last season.
