MSU Men's Tennis, Four Spartans Earn ITA Academic Awards


EAST LANSING, Mich. – Four Spartans were named Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar Athletes while the MSU Men’s Tennis Team collectively earned the ITA All-Academic team honor for their efforts on and off the court in the 2023-24 season.
 
Senior Luke Baylis, graduate student Sebastien Collard, junior Max Sheldon and sophomore Ozan Baris were the four deserving honorees of the academic award.
 
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must have been athletically eligibly and had a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale). For the team all-academic title, the team qualified by meeting the requirement of all varsity players accumulating a team GPA of 3.2 or above, on a 4.00 scale.
