Karolina Muchova made a massive splash last year at Roland Garros, reaching her maiden Grand Slam final in a captivating run that caused many a tennis fan to take a shine to her free-flowing all court game.
Due to wrist surgery in February, Muchova won’t be back in Paris this year, but the Czech is already back training, which means a return could come later this season.

The 27-year-old Czech reached a career-high ranking of No.8 last year, and currently sits at 14. Muchova, who also reached the Cincinnati final last year, qualified for the 2023 WTA Finals but did not compete due to injury. She announced that she had undergone wrist surgery in February.
Following my injury at the US Open and an extensive rehabilitation phase, it turned out that a medical intervention was necessary. So here I am, tired and sad, but I know I’ll be okay now. The surgery was successful and I’m gonna do all I can to see you on the court again soon.💛 pic.twitter.com/NGdA0qcxqY
