TEMPE– On Wednesday, Sun Devil Men’s Tennis announced its fall competition schedule, which boasts nine tournaments in the three-month span. The team will also have a handful of players competing in ATP Challengers this fall.
The schedule will be the first look at competition for the freshman, who was ranked the No. 3 recruiting class in the country.
The season opens the weekend of September 14, with the Battle In The Bay in San Francisco, which has three challenger wild card spots open. The rest of the team will compete in UGA’s Southern Intercollegiate Classic in Athens, Georgia.
After a quick turnaround, the team will send student-athletes to Newport Beach to compete in the PTT $25k Newport Beach September 16-22.
The final action in September will take place during the 21-19. The team will split between the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, OK and the U.S. College Cup Invitational in Torreón, Mexico.
October opens with the Big 12/SEC Challenge in Waco, TX before the team will return home to host the ITA Regionals at Kiwanis Park in Tempe.
The ITA Masters will take place in San Diego November 7-10 before the team will take qualified individuals to the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships to Waco, TX November 19-24.
