Tulsa, Okla. – Maxime St. Hilaire won in R64 Prequalifying Consolation against Kristof Minarik of Wichita State University. He won in two sets, going 7-6 in the first set, 7-3 in the tiebreaker, and completing the win in the second set 6-1.
Alberto Orso dropped the singles match against Constantinos Djakouris from UNC Chapel Hill by a score of 2-6, 4-6.
Maxime St. Hilaire and Frank Thompson fell short in their doubles match against Auburn’s Billy Blaydes and William Nolan 4-6, 5-7.
DAY 1 –
Tulsa, Okla. – Virginia Tech sent three Hokies to Oklahoma to compete in the ITA All-American Championships. The tournament started on Sept. 21.
Orso advanced to the second round winning 6-3, 5-7, 6-2 against Pablo Perez Ramos from New Jersey Inst. Of Tech.
Thompson and St. Hilaire completed a three-set victory over Princeton duo Inchauspe and Ardila. They won the first set 7-6, going 7-5 in the tiebreaker. They dropped the second set 6-4, but bounced back to win 10-5 in the third.
