CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The University of North Carolina men’s tennis team will continue its 2023 fall season at home this weekend when it hosts the Tom Chewning Invitational on Friday through Sunday at the Chewning Tennis Center in Chapel Hill.
The field of competitors will include players from seven schools: UNC, Duke, NC State, Wake Forest, Furman, VCU and NC Central.
Competition should begin at 9 a.m. each day, with competitors playing both singles and doubles on each day of the weekend. Live scoring and streaming will not be available, but results will be available at CourtHive.com.
The invitational is held in honor of Tom Chewning, a longtime supporter and fan of the Tar Heel tennis program and the namesake of the beautiful, new Chewning Tennis Center, which made its debut in the spring of 2023.
Admission is free all weekend.
