LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville men’s tennis team will continue the 2022-23 fall season this weekend when select members of the team will travel to Tuscaloosa, Ala., to compete in the Alabama Invitational while another group will head to Tulsa, Okla., for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-American Championships.
Alabama Invitational | Sept. 30-Oct. 2, Tuscaloosa, Ala.
• Matthew Fung, David Mizrahi, Will Mayew and Andre’ Steinbach will represent the Cardinals in the tournament which also includes players from Alabama, Illinois, Georgia, UAB, and Tulane.
ITA All-American Championships | Oct. 1-9, Tulsa, Okla.
Louisville will be represented by Etienne Donnet, Sergio Hernandez, Natan Rodrigues and Fabien Salle compete for the first national championship of the fall season.
• The tournament’s main draw will feature 19 of the top 20-ranked players in the ITA Collegiate Tennis National Preseason Rankings.
• Rodrigues will get things started for Louisville in the pre-qualifying draw which is set to kick off on Saturday. Hernandez and Salle will join Qualifying play from Oct. 3-4, with Salle and Rodrigues also competing doubles Donnet is set to play in the singles Main Draw starting on Oct.5.

• UofL opened its fall season two weeks ago at the Wildcat Invitational. In that tournament Rodrigues and Mayew went 3-0 in singles while Fung, Hernandez, Rodrigues and Salle each tallied a 3-0 mark in doubles.
Cards in the Rankings
The Cardinals’ roster includes three players in the ITA preseason rankings.
• Salle is ranked No. 84, while Sergio Hernandez is slotted at No. 111 in the top-125 singles rankings. Donnet finished the 2022 spring season at No. 88 in singles.
•The duo of Salle and Rodrigues stand inside the doubles top-60 at No. 48.
