LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Penn State men’s tennis team ended their time at the Liberty Hidden Dual against the Clemson Tigers on Sunday morning.
SINGLES
In singles, Miko Eala collected his second singles win of the weekend in a 6-2, 6-3 match over Spencer Whitaker. Taking on Clemson’s Trey Stinchcomb, Pranav Nemani came out with a 6-7(8), 6-2, 6-3 victory in three sets.
Charl Morgan fell to Jorje Plans Gonzalez in a 6-2, 6-3 match, while Sam Bossem was defeated by the Tigers’ Matt Pitts 6-4, 7-6(4). Continuing in singles, Malik Bhatnagar lost to Maxwell Smith 7-6(12), 6-2 and Ismail Saadi was routed 6-4, 6-1 by Nini Dica. Harrison Janes took Clemson’s Ethan Silva to three sets but was overcome 2-6, 6-4, [10-1].
DOUBLES
Partners Morgan and Eala lost their doubles match to Whitaker and Smith 6-1, before Bossem and Bhatnagar fell 7-6(3) to Plans Gonzalez and Silva. Following that, Nemani and Saadi were defeated by Pitts and Stinchcomb 6-3 and Paduraru and Janes dropped their doubles contest to Dica and Tim Pitts 6-2.
