Men’s Tennis Falls to No. 67 Michigan State, 4-1

EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Penn State men’s tennis team (13-10, 0-6 B1G) dropped a 4-1 match to No. 67 Michigan State (7-11, 1-4 B1G) at the MSU Outdoor Tennis Center on Sunday afternoon.  

DOUBLES 

The Spartans grabbed the doubles point on courts one and three.  

Finishing first, Sam Bossem and Loren Byers cruised to an easy 6-0 win over Kazuki Matsuno and Reed Crocker.  

Michigan State took court three in a 6-2 decision that saw Miko Eala and Stefan Simeunovic fall to Graydon Lair/Max Sheldon, before they clinched the point when Malik Bhatnagar and Charl Morgan lost to Ozan Baris and Anthony Pero, 6-3. 

SINGLES 

Eala posted Penn State’s first point in straight sets as he defeated Pero 6-1, 6-1. The Spartans followed with three singles wins to clinch the match, 4-1.
