Men’s Tennis Central: Orlando Fall Shootout

ORLANDO, Fla. – The first serves of the fall season for Tennessee’s men’s tennis team are set to go up this weekend, with the Vols visiting The Sunshine State for the Orlando Fall Shootout, running Friday-Sunday, Sept. 9-11.

The event site is the USTA National Campus, which also serves as the location of the 2023 NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Tennis Championships. Having opened its doors in January 2017, the Campus—which boasts 98 fully-lit courts, including two championship courts across 64 acres—celebrates its five-year anniversary in 2022 and hosts over 9,000 guests per week.

Tennessee will have several individuals compete in the tournament, facing Tulsa on Friday, SEC-foe Texas A&M Saturday and wrapping up play with Oklahoma State on Sunday.

Live stats for the Orlando Fall Shootout will be provided by Tennis-Ticker, while live video streams of each match will be available through the USTA’s site. Fans should note that the live stream will only display team names, rather than individual player names.

Consistent with standard college fall tennis customs, no team results will be had from the competition in Orlando this weekend or the remainder of the fall slate. Individuals will still be credited with wins/losses throughout fall action.
