Consistent with standard college fall tennis customs, no team results will be had from the competition in Murfreesboro this weekend or the remainder of the fall slate. Individuals will still be credited with wins/losses throughout fall action.

BIG ORANGE DEBUTS

This weekend, five of the six players competing for Tennessee will make their first appearances as Vols. Three transfers and two freshmen will see their first action on the courts, giving UT a promising mix of young talent and seasoned players some early-season experience.

MITSUI CHASING 100 WINS

Shunsuke Mitsui currently sits at 92 singles wins for his career and is inching closer to the 100-win mark. The senior looks to be the third Vol in the past two seasons to reach 100 singles victories, as Angel Diaz and Johannus Monday accomplished the feat last year.

UP NEXT

Following Tennessee’s opening weekend in Murfreesboro, the Vols will travel to Tulsa, Oklahoma, for the ITA All-American Championships, running from Sept. 21. through Sept. 29.
