KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The sixth-ranked Tennessee men’s tennis team is geared up for a top-10 clash against No. 14 Michigan on Thursday, Jan. 18, at 4:30 p.m. inside Goodfriend Tennis Center.
The Vols look to extend their win streak to four, entering the match having won 14 of their previous 16 duals, dating to last season.

SCOUTING MICHIGAN
The Vols (3-0) and Wolverines (1-0) meet for the 15th time in program history on Thursday. From 1979-93, Tennessee won 10 consecutive matches against Michigan and held a 10-3 advantage over the Wolverines in the series, which dates to 1975. A win for Tennessee would be its first top-25 win of 2024 and its eighth since the start of the 2023 dual season.
Michigan opened its slate with a 6-1 win over DePaul University. Last season, the Wolverines advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight, finishing the season with a 27-5 record. Gavin Young, who appeared atop Michigan’s lineup in its season opener, logged a 27-11 dual match record while defeating seven ranked opponents in 2023.
