Martin Earns Top 10 ITA Singles Ranking – Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

THE FLATS – In the latest ITA Division I Men’s Tennis Rankings, Georgia Tech men’s tennis was once again represented on the top singles and doubles lists.

The highlight of this week’s rankings was Andres Martin’s climb to No. 7 in the singles rankings. Previously ranked at No. 34, the junior earned two singles victories against nationally-ranked players from Florida State and Miami this past weekend. Martin is currently on a six-match win streak with 12 wins over nationally-ranked players. He is 6-1 in ACC competition and has won eighth of his last 10 matches.

The other Jackets represented on the top singles list are No. 71 Marcus McDaniel and No. 90 Keshav Chopra. McDaniel is 15-5 and Chopra is 14-7 in dual match play. Both players have four or more wins in ACC competition so far this season.

The Tech doubles pair of Martin and McDaniel are ranked No. 27 on the national list. Despite their current losing streak, the duo is 10-6 in dual match play.
