Marozsan Rises to Career-High 65, Fils Makes Another Career-High

Fabian Marozsan became the first Hungarian player to ever reach a Masters 1000 quarterfinal last week in Shanghai. On Monday, the 24-year-old got his reward: a career-high ranking of 65.

Marozsan, who jumps 26 spots from 91 to 65, is the biggest riser inside the ATP’s Top-100 this week. He is one of two Hungarians inside the Top-100, along with Marton Fucsovics.

Fils Makes Top-40 Debut

France’s Arthur Fils continues to make his way up the rankings in 2023.

The 19-year-old, who finished 2022 at 251 in the world, makes his Top-40 debut this week at No.38 after losing in the round of 32 at Shanghai to Tommy Paul in three sets.

Hurkacz Alive in the Race to Turin

Fresh off his second career Masters 1000 title at Shanghai, Hubert Hurkacz rises six spots to No.11 in the world this week. Also at No.11 in the Race, Hurkacz moves within 335 points of No.8 Holger Rune in the Race to Turin standings.

Korda Back to Career High 23

Sebastian Korda, who reached the semifinals at Shanghai, pushes three spots higher to match his career-high ranking at No.23 in the world.

The 23-year-old is the No.5 American this week, behind No.19 Ben Shelton, No.14 Frances Tiafoe, No.12 Tommy Paul and No.10 Taylor Fritz. There are currently nine Americans inside the Top 100 and seven inside the Top-50.

Machac Rising

Elsewhere in the Top-100, Tomas Machac of the Czech Republic rises 15 spots. The 23-year-old recently won back-to-back challenger titles at Orleans and Mouilleron Le Captif.
