Lady Vol Tennis Signs Four to 2024-25 Roster

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee women’s tennis head coach Alison Ojeda announced the signing of four five-star players who will join the program for the 2024-25 season. The Lady Vols landed Natalia Perez, Conley Raidt, Brooklyn Schafer and Saray Yli-Piipari.

“This group brings a wealth of international playing experience to our squad,” said Ojeda.

Natalia Perez is ranked as the No.1 player in Puerto Rico, Hawaii & Territories. The Guaynabo native attends Club Med Academy and will be joining the squad on Rocky Top next fall. Her recent accolades include winning two singles titles, two doubles titles, and collecting two single finalist finishes over the 2022 season. Perez is also ranked by Tennis Recruiting Network as the No. 40 player in the nation.

The next signee is Conley Raidt hailing from Alpharetta, Georgia. The lefty attends Rivers Academy Private School and was the only member of her team to earn a state championship during the 2021 season. Raidt’s 2022 competition consisted of two national tournament doubles champion titles, in addition to tallying one finalist finish and one semifinalist finish. Raidt is ranked as the No. 4 player in the state of Georgia and comes in as the No. 43 player in the nation.

“This class reminds me of my freshman class back in 1998,” Ojeda added. “We were a bunch of blue-collar kids who came in understanding how special it was for us to all be on Rocky Top competing as a Lady Vol. En route to becoming an NCAA semi-final team, we were described as a team that fights for every single point, is passionate and resilient, and most importantly, a team that is respectfully fighting together. That’s this group of four!”

The Volunteers will also welcome the addition of Brooklyn Schafer aboard the roster. Schafer currently attends Laurel Springs High School in Cumming, Georgia. Over the past year, Schafer has notched three first-place doubles wins, finished in second place twice, and recently achieved bronze in August. She ranks as the No. 59 player in the nation and the No. 6 player in the state of Georgia.

Rounding out the recruiting class is Saray Yli-Piipari hailing from Peachtree Corners, Georgia. Yli-Piipari also attends Laurel Springs High School. She has earned several titles including four championships and one finalist finish in the past couple of months. Yli-Piipari ranks as the No. 2 player in the state of Georgia and is nationally ranked at the No. 29 spot.
