Krawczyk Advances to Wimbledon Quarterfinals in Women’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles

LONDON – Sun Devil alumna and three-time Grand Slam champion Desirae Krawczyk has advanced to the quarterfinals round of Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles of Wimbledon.

Krawczyk and partner Neal Skupski, who teamed up to win the Mixed Doubles championship last summer, will square off against Jelena Ostapenko and Robert Farah on July 5.

Full Wimbledon schedule

In Women’s doubles, Krawczyk and partner Danielle Collins have a matchup in the Round of 8 against Erin Routliffe and Alicja Rosolska. A start time has yet to be announced.

Krawczyk is fresh off of a magical run last summer, in which she racked up three Grand Slam titles in a single year, all coming in mixed doubles play. In June 2021, she earned the first Grand Slam title of her career at the French Open with partner Joe Salisbury. She won again weeks later at Wimbledon alongside Skupski in July, then captured a US Open title with Salisbury in September.

Krawczyk, a 2016 Sun Devil graduate, was the author of a terrific career in Tempe. She compiled a 97-43 record in singles action, including a run of 28-9 in 2013-14 and was also 75-31 in doubles and 20-5 in 2014-15.
