Klov-Nilsson Wins Jack Kramer Invite Singles Title

Rolling Hills Estates, Calif. – Jesper Klov-Nilsson won two matches on Sunday to secure the singles championship at the Jack Kramer Club.

At 9 a.m., Klov-Nilsson faced Noah Berry from Cal Poly and took the three-set match 3-6, 7-5, 6-0. He had about an hour break after the match to rest before the final was scheduled to be played. At 12:30 p.m., he faced off against Johannes Seeman from San Diego State. Seeman started the two hour match with a 6-4 win in the first set. As was the trend all tournament, Klov-Nilsson would have to win the next two. He did so with ease, taking the second set 6-2 and the third and final set 6-3, to clinch the tournament victory.

He advanced to the semis after a three-set match versus Lucca Liu form UC Santa Barbara. Liu took the first set 6-3, but Klov-Nilsson turned it around and took the next two 6-3, 6-2.

On Friday, Klov-Nilsson swept both of his matches with a first round win over UC San Diego’s Daniel Traxler (6-1, 6-3), followed by a victory of San Diego’s Stian Klassen (6-4, 6-4).
