CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – For the fourth-straight weekend, there will be a contingent of Illinois women’s tennis student athletes in action as the Orange and Blue head south to the June Stewart Invitational hosted by Vanderbilt. The Illini will have five players in competition from Oct. 7-9, including Emily Casati, Kida Ferrari, Kasia Treiber, Megan Heuser and Josie Frazier.
Illinois will face competition from Vanderbilt, Purdue, Missouri and Middle Tennessee across the event.
Weekend action will take on a hidden-dual format. Friday morning, the Illini will face Vanderbilt doubles teams before taking on Missouri in singles play in the afternoon. Illinois will open Saturday will singles matches against Vanderbilt before squaring off with Purdue in doubles. Sunday will kick off with Illinois dueling with Purdue in singles followed by Missouri in doubles.

Following this weekend’s competition, Illinois will have a weekend off before heading to Ann Arbor, Michigan, for the ITA Midwest Regional that begins on Oct. 20.
