Jin’s Quarterfinal Run Highlights Gators’ ITA Southeast Regional

Florida men’s tennis freshman Jeremy Jin’s quarterfinal appearance highlighted the Gators’ weekend at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regional Championships at Georgia Tech. Jin was also one of four UF players – along with JanMagnus Johnson, Aidan Kim and Olek Orlikowski – to post multiple wins and advance to the singles Round of 16.
 
Orlikowski picked up a ranked win in the Round of 32, topping 55th-ranked Youcef Rihane (Florida State) in a hard-fought three-setter, 7-5, 6-7(4), 6-2.
 
Jin’s three singles wins in Atlanta come on the heels of another three-win performance at the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla., the previous week, as the Australian improves to 7-2 in singles action this Fall.
 
Florida hosts the Gator Fall Invite at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex Oct. 27-29.
