On the doubles side, Florida faced Arizona, Baylor, and Texas Tech.
Nirundorn/Jefferson dropped their Friday match against Cabrera-Bello/Christensen (Arizona) 5-8. The duo battled Saturday against Velcz/Brostrom (Baylor), but dropped 7(10)-8(12). In the final doubles match, the pair secured an 8-4 victory over ranked duo No. 7 Abboud/Pawlak (Texas Tech).
Johnson/Edengren saw a similar result as they also went 1-2 in doubles. The first loss came after a 7(7)-8(9) outing against Ludoski/Gustafsson (Arizona). The duo saw success on Saturday, logging an 8(7)-7(4) victory against Bowden/ Van Wijk (Baylor). Despite their efforts, the pair dropped the final match 6-8 against Stewart/Arsic (Texas Tech).
In singles play the Gators faced Oklahoma State, Arizona State, Texas Tech.
Henry Jefferson opened the tournament with a 6-3, 6-4 victory against Thomas Gadecki (Oklahoma State). He continued his success on Saturday defeating Daniel Phillips (Arizona State) 6-3, 6-3. Jefferson earned his third singles win in a 6-4, 6-1 effort against Piotr Pawlak (Texas Tech). Jefferson now holds a 6-0 tournament singles record.
Kevin Edengren also saw success in singles action. Edengren dropped his opening match 6(8)-7, 3-6 against Ian Bracks (Oklahoma State). Edengren fought back on Saturday, posting a 6-2, 6-4 win over Mikel Anderson (Arizona State). On the final day of competition, Edengren defeated Sebastian Abboud (Texas Tech) 6-3, 2-0.
JanMagnus Johnson saw victory in one match over the weekend. Johnson faced Roi Ginat (Arizona State) on Saturday and took the win in a (4-6), 6-2, 6-4 effort.
