Jacobs, Carter To Play In ITA Regional Doubles Quarterfinal

BERKELEY, Calif. – The Dawgs rounded out day three of the ITA Northwest Regionals Sunday afternoon, led by Reece Carter who will be advancing to play in both singles and doubles on Monday.

Alexia Jacobs and Carter won their second doubles match of the Regional, taking down a Gonzaga pair 8-4 in the round of 16 to advance to the quarterfinals Monday morning.

Sophie Luescher and Erika Matsuda will also move on to the doubles quarterfinals after besting Urchoeguia and Shek from San Jose State, 8-6.

Carter remains the only Dawg left in the singles draw, winning both of her matches Sunday against Cal opponents and each in three sets. She will face the No. 1 seed Connie Ma from Stanford Monday at 11 a.m. in the tournament semifinals.
