SEATTLE – Washington and Oregon see each other across the net for the second time this season, as the Ducks come into town for the official Pac-12 encounter between the PNW rivals. The 48th-ranked Huskies won the earlier nonconference meeting over the 64th-ranked Ducks in Eugene, and they’ll try to complete a regular season sweep this Saturday, Apr. 1, at 1 p.m. at either the Nordstrom Tennis Center or Bill Quillian Stadium.

Washington is coming off a stellar 4-3 result in its Pac-12 opener against then-No. 31 Utah, improving to 10-4 on the season. The Dawgs will try to get to 2-0 in Pac-12 play on Saturday. In the first meeting between the teams, the Huskies pulled out a 4-3 victory in Eugene, as Han-Chih Lin broke the 3-3 tie with a victory at No. 1 singles.

Last weekend against the Utes, it was Nedim Suko rallying for a 5-7, 6-4, 6-4 win to clinch the victory. Also winning were Dzianis Zharyn and Cesar Bouchelaghem, and UW took the doubles point. Zharyn was named Pac-12 Player of the Week for the first time, as he upset 85th-ranked Franco Capalbo in their match at No. 2 singles.

Oregon is led by Joshua Charlton, who is ranked 106th nationally. Charlton and Quinn Vandecasteele are ranked 14th nationally in doubles. In the first meeting, Bouchelaghem and Zharyn edged out Charlton and Vandecasteele in a tiebreaker.
