HEADLINES FROM LAST WEEK
Traveling to Johnson City, Tennessee, men’s soccer shut out ETSU, 2-0, on Monday. In his first career start, goalie Connor Jordan-Hyde impressed, recording six saves to give the Hokies their third clean sheet of the season.
Women’s soccer fell 3-1 on the road against Miami (Fla.) on Thursday. This was Tech’s first road loss of the season.
Volleyball fell to NC State 3-1 on Friday. Cera Powell led the team with 11 kills on the day, while Junior setter Brie Postema reached 1,000 career assists.
On Friday, men’s soccer fell to North Carolina, 2-0. Goalkeeper Ben Martino recorded a season-high seven saves.
In men’s tennis, Jordan Chrysostom and Ryan Fishback claimed the ITA All-American Consolation Championship in doubles on Sunday in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Sunday, women’s soccer fell to Clemson 2-1 on the road. Freshman Taylor Price earned her team-leading seventh goal of the season. Price remains the top scoring freshman in the ACC, with 17 points.
Volleyball fell to North Carolina 3-1 on Sunday. Cara Lewis led the team with nine kills, Anabel Zier had a match-high three aces, while four Hokies reached double figures in digs.
