Cary N.C. – Tech’s run in the ACC Championship ended tonight after a 4-0 loss to Miami in the second round.
The Hurricanes took wins on Courts 1 and 2 in doubles. Charlotte Cartledge and Özlem Uslu were on the verge of picking up a win on Court 3, before their match was called.
Miami picked three singles wins in straight sets on Courts 1, 2, and 6 to clinch the match.
Semra Aksu was up in the second set 4-1 when the match was called, while Tamara Barad Itzhaki was tied 1-1 in her second set at the time of the clinch. Dariya Radulova had yet to begin her second set.
