1. How did you first get involved in tennis?
My parents encouraged me and my four siblings to explore a plethora of extracurriculars in our youth. Although I dabbled in activities ranging from Irish step dancing to travel soccer, my unparalleled favorite was tennis which I began playing at 9 years old.
2. What has been the best advice a coach has given you?
“Enjoy the journey.”
3. Who do you model your game after?
As a junior player, my coach would point out aspects of different player’s games to incorporate into my own. While watching Sloane Stephens play at the US open several years ago, I realized that her game is most similar to mine and going forward, I would model my game after hers.
4. What has been your favorite aspect of being at Virginia Tech?
The comradery – shared among both my team and the collective student body of Virginia Tech.
