Visitation and the funeral will be held at Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg, Va. The family will be receiving visitors from 1-2 p.m. at Horne, with the funeral to immediately follow. There will be a live stream of the funeral for those who are unable to attend in person. A link will be posted on this page as we get closer to Aug. 3.
Following the funeral, a celebration of life will be held at Lane Stadium from 4-6 p.m. on the fourth floor of the west side’s south club. Attendees are encouraged to park in Lot 4/softball lot, which is located adjacent to Tech Softball Park (240 Beamer Way, Blacksburg, Va., 24061). Signs will be placed to direct traffic to the event. Refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be provided.
In lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe page has been set up in support of the Sayer family.
