CARY, N.C. (theACC.com) – Duke, Florida State, Virginia and Wake Forest advanced to the semifinals of the 2023 Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Tennis Championship winning each of their matches in Friday’s quarterfinals at Cary Tennis Park.
No. 2 Duke swept No. 7 Louisville, 4-0, while No. 5 Florida State upset No. 4 North Carolina, 4-2. The Seminoles’ #109 Youcef Rihane defeated UNC’s Will Jansen in three sets to clinch the victory, 1-6, 6-3, 6-3. No. 1 Virginia blanked No. 8 Miami, 4-0, to advance to Saturday’s first semifinal.
No. 6 Wake Forest battled No. 3 NC State to a 4-2 win as Filippo Moroni’s three-set, 2-6, 6-2, 6-4, victory over No. 73 Luca Staeheli of NC State clinched the match for the Demon Deacons and sent them to the semifinals.
Due to the weather forecast on Saturday, both 10 a.m. semifinal matches of the ACC Men’s Tennis Championship have been moved indoors. The first semifinal between No. 1 Virginia and No. 5 Florida State will be held at the Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center at Duke University. The second semifinal between No. 2 Duke and No. 6 Wake Forest will take place at the Cone-Kenfield Indoor Courts at the University of North Carolina. Both matches are free admission.

Sunday’s championship match is slated for 2 p.m. at the Cary Tennis Park and will broadcast live on ACC Network Extra.
Sunday tickets are priced at $10 for adults (ages 18 and older; children under 9 and ACC students get in free with school ID) and $7 for youth ages 17 and under. Tickets may be purchased online at https://www.etix.com/ticket/v/11254. All seating for the tournament is General Admission.
