THE FLATS – Georgia Tech men’s tennis heads to their first collegiate tournament of the fall season as they travel to Vanderbilt University’s Commodore Invite. The tournament will start Friday, Sept. 23 and continue until Sunday, Sept. 25. Tech athletes, Andres Martin, Marcus McDaniel, Rohan Sachdev and Elias Shokry, will compete in both singles and doubles play.
Doubles play will feature the pairing Martin, a standout on the team, with freshman, Shokry, who will be competing in his debut collegiate tournament. McDaniel, another notable returner for the Jackets, will team up with Purdue transfer, Sachdev.
The singles play begins with a round of 16 and the winning player will then advance to the quarterfinals. Doubles play will start with a quarterfinal round and winners from that round will then advance to the semifinals of the tournament.
