Four Dawgs are off to Stanford this weekend for the ITA Northwest Super Regionals, a high quality individual tournament that will be used as the qualifier for ITA National Fall Championships. Han-Chih Lin, Cesar Bouchelaghem, Nedim Suko, and Dzianis Zharyn will be taking on the best in the region.
The tournament features a 32-player singles draw that will begin on Friday, Oct. 21. The finalists will earn a spot at the National Fall Championships held the first week of November in San Diego.
Lin and Suko both opened their fall seasons at the first ITA Northwest Regional two weeks ago in Spokane, with Lin winning all his singles matches. Bouchelaghem and Zharyn will be playing their first matches of the season on Friday.
In round one, Suko plays at 9 a.m. against Oliver Andersson of Gonzaga. Bouchelaghem plays the No. 6 seed, Arthus de la Bassetiere of Gonzaga at 9 a.m. Lin plays at 10:45 a.m. against No. 4 seed Aryan Chaudhary of Stanford. At 11, Zharyn plays No. 5 seed Samir Banerjee of Stanford.
