DURHAM – The ACC released its annual All-ACC teams for women’s tennis on Friday with four Duke student-athletes earning accolades — Chloe Beck, Georgia Drummy, Emma Jackson and Ellie Coleman.
In singles action, Beck received first-team honors, while Drummy and Jackson were tabbed to the third team. In doubles, Beck and Coleman were named to the third team.
It marked the third straight year Beck and Drummy earned All-ACC recognition and the second consecutive season Beck received first-team accolades. Jackson was named to the third team for the second straight year, while Coleman earned the honor for the first time as a sophomore.
Duke has now placed at least three student-athletes on the All-ACC teams for 15 straight seasons.
Of the 18 singles players receiving All-ACC honors, Beck was one of 10 who earned All-ACC accolades in both singles and doubles.
Beck, a native of Watkinsville, Ga., is coming off receiving All-America honors for the third straight year as well as All-ACC accolades. She collected a 33-5 singles and 30-5 doubles mark in 2022-23, becoming the fourth Blue Devil to collect 30 or more singles and doubles wins in a single season. Beck was ranked as high as No. 2 nationally, while playing No. 1 singles. She received an invitation to compete in the NCAA Singles Championship for the second consecutive season and advanced to the round of 16.
Drummy, who is from Dublin, Ireland, closed her career with a first-team All-ACC selection in 2022, second team in 2021 and third team honors in 2023. She carded a 13-7 overall record in singles in her final season with the Blue Devils. Despite injuries limiting her play this season, Drummy was ranked as high as No. 8 nationally in singles. An NCAA Singles Championship qualifier, Drummy advanced to the round of 32, after knocking off second-seeded Mary Stoiana of Texas A&M, 1-6, 7-6, 6-4. With a 6-0 record in ACC singles action, she concluded her career with a 32-11 mark in ACC singles play.
A product of La Grange Park, Ill., Jackson has opened her collegiate career with back-to-back All-ACC third team honors. She turned in another solid season with the Blue Devils with a 22-12 overall and 7-4 ACC mark in singles. Jackson registered two wins over top-10 opponents on the season and five total victories over ranked opponents. …
