DURHAM – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its Scholar-Athlete awards on Monday with Chloe Beck, Margaryta Bilokin, Ellie Coleman and Eliza Omirou earning accolades from the Duke women’s tennis program. As a team, Duke also received Division I Women’s All-Academic Team honors.
It marks the fourth and third straight year that Bilokin and Beck have been named to the prestigious list, respectively. Omirou was selected for the second straight year, while Coleman was named for the first time.
Duke tallied a 3.563 grade-point average as a team this past season.
The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). All varsity letter winners were factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.
To earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a player must meet the following criteria: be a varsity letter winner, have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters (including freshman through senior year).
