Florida Tennis to Compete at Fall Regionals



Alicia Dudeney has proven to be a vocal leader throughout the fall and looks to continue her veteran role this weekend at ITA Regionals.

The Gators will join 16 other teams this weekend at the 2024 Southeast Regional Championship.

Atlanta, Ga. – The Gators will be hosted by Georgia Tech starting Thursday, Oct. 17, at the Intercollegiate “ITA” Regional Championships. The tournament will stretch as far as Tuesday, Oct. 22 with a field of 64 in both the singles and doubles category.
 
The 2024 ITA Regionals serve as an opportunity to be directly qualified into the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championship. The two singles finalists from each region (26 total) and doubles champion from each region (13 total) will earn automatic qualification to the NCAA Individual Championships. In 2024, the NCAA’s will be held from Nov. 19-24 at Baylor University in Waco, Tex.
 
Representing the Gators will be returners, Alicia Dudeney, Bente Spee, and Rachel Gailis, along with freshmen Nikola Daubnerova, Talia Neilson-Gatenby, and Noémie Oliveras.
 
Tournament Coverage:

  • Final match results will be updated throughout the day HERE
  • There will be no live scoring in the early rounds
  • Live streaming will be available via PlaySight on the championship courts (courts 1-6)

Tournament Schedule: (all play to being at 9 a.m. unless noted otherwise)

  • Thursday, Oct. 17 – Qualifying Draw –2 rounds of singles
  • Friday, Oct. 18 – Main Draw – Doubles round of 64, Singles rounds of 64
  • Saturday, Oct. 19 – Main Draw – Doubles round 32, Singles rounds of 32 and 16, Consolation
  • Sunday, Oct. 20 – Main Draw – Singles quarterfinals, Doubles rounds of 16 and quarterfinals
  • Monday, Oct. 21 – Main Draw – Singles and Doubles Semifinals (play begins at 10 a.m.)
  • Tuesday, Oct. 22 – Main Draw – Singles and Doubles Finals (play begins at 10 a.m.)
