Five Blue Devils Listed in Latest ITA Rankings


DURHAM – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released updated singles and doubles rankings on Wednesday with five members of the Duke women’s tennis team recognized.  

In singles, Chloe Beck (5), Emma Jackson (21) and Cameron Morra (28) were listed, while the Blue Devils had two doubles teams ranked in the top-25 – Beck/Morra (14) and Karolina Berankova and Ellie Coleman (25).  

Beck, who hails from Watkinsville, Ga., remains in the top 10 sitting at No. 5 nationally.  She has collected a 15-3 overall and 5-0 dual match ledger so far this season.  Beck is riding a nine-match winning streak dating back to the fall and owns five wins against ranked opponents so far this year.  

A product of La Grange Park, Ill., Jackson’s ranking of No. 21 is the highest of her career.  She has registered an 11-5 singles mark this season, including a 5-0 record in dual match play.  Jackson owns two wins over top-10 ranked opponents on the year.  

Morra moved up two spots to No. 26 as she has won nine out of her last 11 singles matches.  On the season, she has notched a 12-6 record, including 5-0 in dual action.  A native of Rockville, Md., Morra has registered five wins over ranked foes this season.  

In doubles play, Beck and Morra dropped one slot to No. 14, while Berankova and Coleman moved into the rankings at No. 25.  

Beck and Morra have quickly become one of the best doubles team in the nation this season boasting a 19-3 overall ledger.  They also are 6-0 in dual match play.  Berankova and Coleman feature an 11-2 overall record together and have registered two wins over top 60-ranked opponents.  

Duke (8-0) will next face 15th-ranked Oklahoma (5-3) on Friday, Feb. 10 in the opening round of the ITA National Team Indoors.  First serve is set for 3 p.m. (ET) from Seattle, Wash.
