Fighting Illini Announce Fall Schedule


CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Illinois women’s tennis head coach Evan Clark has announced the 2024 fall schedule, with up to nine events on the docket for the Fighting Illini. For the first time, the fall tournament slate will end in the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships, held separate from the spring team championship.

The fall slate will open with a split weekend at the Baylor-hosted H-E-B Invitational from Sept. 20-22 and ITA All-American Championships in Cary, N.C., from Sept. 21-29 for those who qualify.

October begins with another weekend of divide and conquer, as the Orange and Blue head to both the Notre Dame Invite and SMU Invitational from Oct. 4-6. The following week, Illinois travels to Columbus, Ohio, for the ITA Midwest Regional slated for Oct. 10-14.

Up next, the TCU Jae Foundation Invitational runs from Oct. 31 – Nov. 3. Illinois will head to the ITA Sectionals in Ann Arbor, Mich., from Nov. 7-10 with a chance to send representatives to the ITA Conference Masters in San Diego, Calif., the same weekend.

Fall action concludes at the Hurd Tennis Center at Baylor from Nov. 19-24. Illini can qualify through the ITA All-American Championships (10 singles, four doubles), ITA Regional Championships (26 singles, 13 doubles), ITA Conference Masters Championship (four singles, three doubles), and ITA Sectional Championships (24 singles, 12 doubles).
