Top-seeded Duke (3-0) will open action Saturday, Jan. 28 against No. 4 seed VCU (0-2) at 10 a.m., followed by No. 2 seed SMU (2-1) versus No. 3 seed Wisconsin (2-1) at 2 p.m.  Both losing teams will then face each other on Sunday, Jan. 29 at 10 a.m., followed by the winning teams at 2 p.m.  Free parking will be available in the blue zone lot for all fans.

The winners of the championship match at 2 p.m., will advance to the National Team Indoors Feb. 10-13 in Seattle, Wash.

ITA Kickoff Weekend

Duke hosts VCU, SMU and Wisconsin for the ITA Kickoff Jan. 28-29.  All four teams will be looking to advance to the National Team Indoors Feb. 10-13 in Seattle, Wash.

The Blue Devils are hoping to advance to the National Team Indoors for the 30th time in school history.  Duke failed to advance in both 2022 and 2021 so the Blue Devils are looking to snap that streak in 2023.  In ITA Kickoff Weekend matches in Durham, N.C., Duke owns a 26-2 ledger.  The Blue Devils won the National Team Indoors in 2003 and 2014.

The Series with VCU

The Blue Devils and the Rams will face off for the eighth time in series history, with Duke leading the series 6-1 overall. This match will be contested at the Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center between these teams for the fifth consecutive outing. The Blue Devils are on a five-match winning streak against the Rams, taking the last match, 7-0, the year prior, on Feb. 17, 2021.
