KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Purdue women’s tennis team had a slow Saturday on the third day of the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championship.
Both freshman Kennedy Gibbs and redshirt senior Liz Norman played extra matches early in the day. Norman defeated Mariia Hlahola from Belmont 6-4, 7-5. Gibbs earned the reverse score by beating Abby Nugent from Xavier 7-5, 6-4.
At the same time, sophomores Carmen Gallardo Guevara and Tara Katarina Milic lost in the quarterfinal round in doubles after battling No. 47 Eleonora Molinaro and Daria Kuczer from Tennessee. The duo went out 8-5.
