Christopher Eubanks makes his Davis Cup debut today.
A right hip issue has sidelined American No. 1 Taylor Fritz for the United States’ Davis Cup qualifying tie against Ukraine, pressing the 6’7″ Eubanks, nicknamed Big Banks by his teammates, into the starting lineup.
World No. 32 Eubanks will make his Davis Cup playing debut in today’s second singles match, against world No. 498 Viacheslav Bielinskyi of Ukraine. Eubanks also takes Fritz’s place on Friday’s schedule, though Friday’s lineups are subject to change before each match.
