GREENSBORO, N.C. – The University of Notre Dame women’s tennis program earned eight spots on the Atlantic Coast Conference’s All-Academic teams. Julia Andreach, Carrie Beckman. Page Freeman, Nibi Ghosh, Rylie Hanford. Akari Matsuno, Bojana Pozder and Yashna Yellayi each earned the recognition for their performances on the court and in the classroom.
Its the second Academic All-ACC honor for Andreach, who went 11-10 on the season at the No. 2 position, going 4-5 in conference play. Beckman added 16 matches in singles play, and partnered with Andreach in doubles to earn a 16-5 record.
Freeman finished 13-9 overall and 6-6 in league action. She was named third team All-ACC in addition to this academic All-ACC honor. She teamed with Pozder for eight doubles matches, earning a 5-3 mark, and added four more doubles victories with additional partners. Pozder finished the singles season at 15-6 and 7-3 in league play, playing at flights two through five.
Ghosh added eight wins in singles play, Matsuno totaled 10 wins in singles play while Hanford partnered with Yellayi for 15 doubles wins in addition to a pair of singles wins. Yellayi added a 10-win singles campaign.
