WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Duke men’s tennis wrapped up its fall schedule on Sunday during the final day of the Wake Forest Invite at the Wake Forest Tennis Center.
Junior Connor Krug battled Ivan Dreycopp of Charlotte in his final singles match but dropped a hard-fought three-set decision. Connor Krug registered a 6-4 win in the opening frame but fell 7-6 (8) in the third frame to force a third set. Unfortunately, Dreycopp posted a 6-3 decision to secure the comeback win.
Additionally, freshman Alexander Visser was edged by second-seeded Casey Hoole of South Carolina, 6-1, 6-2, while junior Jake Krug was defeated by Wake Forest’s Matthew Thomson in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1, to round out the competition.
