EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon women’s tennis team continues its fall season at the Dennis Rizza Classic at the Jack Kramer Club in Los Angeles, as four Ducks will compete in the three-day tournament starting Friday.
Head coach Courtney Nagle will send the quartet of Jo-Yee Chan, Uxia Martinez Moral, Madisen Olsen and Karin Young to compete in both the singles and doubles draws of the event, with action starting at 11 a.m. PT.
Chan, Olsen and Young will all meet Pac-12 rivals in the single round of 32 Friday at 11 a.m. Chan will meet UCLA’s Anne-Christine Lutkemeyer, Olsen will face Arizona’s Parker Fry and Young will take on McKenna Koerig from USC. Martinez Moral, who is scheduled to play at 12:30 p.m., has drawn Loyola Marymount’s Sofia Munera.
The singles draw continues Friday, as the round of 16 gets underway at 3:30 p.m. with the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds starting Saturday.
On the doubles side, Olsen and Young will team up to take on Milena Gevorgyan and Zoe Olmos Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. The tandem of Chan and Martinez Moral will begin at the same time against Pepperdine’s second-seeded team of Carolyn Campana and Bunyawi Thamchaiwat.
Doubles quarterfinal and semifinal action begins Saturday at 1 p.m.
