NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The No. 9 Vanderbilt women’s tennis team will look to improve to 4-0 on the season when it hosts Louisville for its spring home opener Friday.
The Commodores are coming off an exciting weekend, defeating Furman and No. 3 NC State and advancing to the ITA National Indoor Championship. The ITA Kickoff Weekend featured Anessa Lee extending her singles win streak to seven.
Holly Staff clinched the winning point for the Dores. Staff will look to continue her success and improve her singles win streak to four.
The visiting Cardinals are 3-1 this season, with the team’s only loss coming from a hard-fought battle against Ball State. This will be the seventh matchup between the Dores and the Cardinals as Vanderbilt will fight to go 7-0 against Louisville.
Parking is available in the 25th Avenue garage on floors 8-10, admission is free. If fans bring a bag, it must be a clear bag to gain entry. The match is set to begin at 3 p.m. on Friday at the Vanderbilt University Currey Tennis Center.
