NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Commodores doubles pair Jeremie Casabon and Siim Troost, who sit at No. 18 in the ITA national rankings, have been invited to compete in the NCAA Division I Men’s Tennis Doubles Championship.
The pair, who reached No. 13 in ITA rankings during the season, competed at the No. 1 doubles position for the Dores, going 7-3 in SEC play and 17-7 overall.
Notable victories for the Dores duo include defeats of then-ranked No. 74 Arkansas, No. 11 Georgia, No. 18 Florida, No. 44 Mississippi State, No. 40 Texas A&M and No. 25 Kentucky pairs.
Casabon and Troost also contributed to the team with success in singles this season, specifically in conference play. Troost led the Commodores with 21 singles victories, including SEC wins over opponents from Arkansas, Florida, Ole Miss, Alabama, and Arkansas. Casabon collected singles victories over opponents from Florida, Alabama, Kentucky, Arkansas, and Texas A&M, including a tiebreak victory to clinch the first round the SEC championship for the Commodores.
The NCAA doubles competition will be May 22- 27 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida.
