Surveying the Series
No. 56 Vanderbilt heads to Athens for the 64th all-time meeting between the Commodores and the Bulldogs. The Dores fell 4-3 to a No. 22 Georgia last season at home. The last time Vandy topped UGA was in the 2014 SEC Men’s Tennis Championship; after losing 4-0 to No. 10 Georgia earlier in the season, Vanderbilt drew No. 9 Georgia in the second round of the conference tournament and came out on top 4-2.
Scouting the Bulldogs
Georgia (9-5, 3-0 SEC) welcomes Vandy to Athens sitting at No. 7 in the ITA national rankings. Making up this squad are four nationally ranked singles players: No. 2 Ethan Quinn, No. 15 Philip Henning, No. 90 Blake Croyder and No. 101 Teodor Giusca. Trent Bryde and Quinn also claim the No. 11 doubles pair spot.
