Dores Add Men’s Tennis Duo

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt head men’s tennis coach Ian Duvenhage announced Tuesday afternoon the additions of Mitchell Deames and Pin ‘Paul’ Wang to the Commodore program for the upcoming 2022-23 season.

We’re excited to have Paul and Mitchell as part of our team and we look forward to being part of their accomplishments, Duvenhage said.

Adding depth to the roster, the Dores duo join Nathan Cox, who signed his national letter of intent last November.

Mitchell Deames

Charleston, S.C. | South Carolina Connections Academy

• Five-star recruit: Top-ranked in South Carolina, third in Southern Section and 43rd nationally
• Universal Tennis Ranking (UTR): 11.47
• 2018 high school state champion
• 2018 all-state honors
• Son of David and Joleen Deames
• Sister, Camryn, played for the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA)

Pin ‘Paul’ Wang

Katy, Texas | Hsinchu County (Taiwan) American School

• 2021 Taiwan National Championship title
• 2015 Taiwan National Championship runner-up
• All-Taiwan Sports Tournament runner-up
• Graduated the last three years of high school with academic honors
