GREENSBORO, N.C. – After the opening weekend of Atlantic Coast Conference play, Sebastian Dominko and Jean-Marc Malkowski were named ACC Co-Doubles Team of the Week. The duo from the University of Notre Dame began the weekend with a 6-2 win over the #27 ranked team from Miami. They followed up with another ranked win over Florida State whose top tandem came in to the match ranked #14 in the country. They have an overall record of 8-2 on the season and are currently 2-0 in the conference.
The Fighting Irish tandem now jumps into the rankings and appears this week at #11 in the country after their efforts so far this season. This is the highest individual doubles ranking for either Notre Dame player. Malkowski appeared for the first time in the national doubles rankings with former Irish captain Matt Halpin two years ago. Dominko was ranked with Connor Fu last season and the pair qualified for the NCAA tournament while reaching a high rank of #16.
