SEATTLE – The UW women’s tennis team wrapped up its sole home tournament Sunday afternoon with day three of the Husky Invitational.
Freshman Carina Syrtveit picked up two wins in her first two singles matches as a Dawg, securing wins against an Iowa opponent on Friday and a Washington State opponent Saturday.

Sophomore Catherine Gagnon also picked up two wins in as many days, defeating an Iowa opponent in three sets on Friday and Washington State, 6-1, 6-3 on Saturday.
The Dawgs tested out three different doubles pairings this weekend, with Lüscher/Gagnon and Suko/Gagnon both coming out on top over Washington State and Denver duos, respectively.
The Huskies will next head to Cal for the ITA Northwest Regional Championships. Competition will start Friday, Oct. 11.
