Jack Draper will lead Great Britain’s squad in Manchester next week as they aim to reach the finals of the Davis Cup.
Draper, 22, faces a quick turnaround after losing to Jannik Sinner in a physically demanding US Open semi-final in New York on Friday.
Henry Patten, who won the men’s doubles title at Wimbledon with Finland’s Harri Heliovaara, replaces Joe Salisbury in the five-man team.
Captain Leon Smith also named Billy Harris, veteran Dan Evans and experienced doubles player Neal Skupski in his squad.
Harris replaces former British number one Cameron Norrie, who had to withdraw from the US Open through injury.
Great Britain face Canada, Finland and Argentina in Group D, with the action taking place from 11-15 September.
The Davis Cup finals, which feature eight countries, will be held in Spanish city Malaga in November.
