Dante Teramo Joins Utah Men's Tennis Roster


SALT LAKE CITY –  The University of Utah men’s tennis head coach, Roeland Brateanu has officially announced the signing of Dante Teramo, a transfer from UT Arlington. Teramo has two years of eligibility left and is set to join the Utes for the 2024-25 season. 
 
“Dante is the next Argentine player that joins our Utah family,” Brateanu said. “He’s a fierce competitor, young, hard working and most importantly a great team guy.”
 
Teramo, a Rio Cuarto, Argentina, native, played two seasons at UTA. In his freshman season, he posted a 13-5 singles record, playing primarily at the No. 5 and No. 6 courts. Teramo finished with a 14-5 doubles record with 11 wins at No. 2. 
 
In his sophomore season, Teramo went 10-7 during the spring season, playing primarily at the No. 2 spot while boasting a 2-1 record at the No. 1 spot. In doubles he went 10-7 seeing action all over the lineup with a 4-0 record at the No. 3 spot and recorded five wins at the No. 1 spot. 
 
He earned Second Team All-WAC singles honors back-to-back years and Second Team All-WAC doubles honors his freshman season. He was also named to the Academic All-WAC Team in 2022-23. 
 
“I’m incredibly excited to become a member of the Utah family,” Teramo said. “I can’t wait to be part of the team, start working and competing at the highest level. I’m looking forward to improving as a tennis player and as a student.”
