CLEMSON, S.C. – TheΒ Clemson Men’s tennis team is back at the Duckworth Family Tennis Facility as they will play South Alabama on Friday at 3 p.m. before battling Nebraska on Sunday at 11 a.m. The live stream for the matches is available here.

The Tigers took down ETSU and The Citadel last weekend at Duckworth in convincing 7-0 fashion. The day was highlighted by Matt Pitts earning his first career win at line 1, M. Pitts and Tim Pitts competing together for the first time and winning on Court 3 and freshman Ethan Silva registering his first career dual singles win.

The season opening weekend, the Tigers also earned two wins, defeating Furman and Wofford for a 2-0 start. Redshirt freshman Nini Dica earned his first dual singles win and Ethan Silva registered his first dual doubles win.

Clemson will face South Alabama for the 17th time in the history of the programs. The Jaguars lead the series 11-5 and most recently defeated the Tigers in 2008, by a score of 4-2 in Mobile. This is only the second time in the history of both programs that the Huskers and Tigers will play as Clemson beat Nebraska in 1989, 5-2.

Head Coach Robbie Weiss enters his fourth season with the Tigers and looks to improve upon a 13 win season last year, the most for Clemson since 2016. Weiss added assistant coach Austin Rapp to the staff in the offseason. Rapp was a four year player and All-American at UCLA and was previously the volunteer assistant coach at the University of Texas.
