CLEMSON, S.C. โ€“ Theย Clemson Menโ€™s tennis team returns to the Duckworth Family Tennis Facility as they will take on in-state rival No. 8 South Carolina for a chance at a Palmetto Series point on Friday at 5 p.m. The live stream for the match is available here.

South Carolina leads the all-time series 69-42-2. The Tigers look to flip the script this year as the Gamecocks defeated the Tigers last season in Columbia 7-0.

The Tigers dominated against South Alabama and Nebraska last weekend, defeating the Jaguars 5-2 and the Huskers with a 4-0 sweep. No. 118 Ryuhei Azuma stayed undefeated in singles play, earning his first career ACC Player of the Week honor. He registered two straight victories on Court 1, taking down South Alabamaโ€™s No. 123 Collard and Nebraskaโ€™s No. 75 Hietaranta. Azuma looks to lead the Tigers heading into the weekend alongside Jorge Plans Gonzalez who has won all of his matches in straight sets.

The previous weekend the Tigers swept both ETSU and The Citadel 7-0 with Matt Pitts earning his first career win at line 1 and Ethan Silva registering his first dual singles win.
